The training with Phil was concise and compact but really thorough and gives you everything you need to start helping people after a few sessions. I completed the course within a couple of months as I was eager to get out and there and get going and my finances allowed me to do this. However Phil is happy for you to go at a slower pace if you want to. He also once the course is done is available for advice and feedback of which you can book in with him via his diary. This was really good to have this back up but so far I have only needed to do this one as his course and also the library of information online and via his YouTube channel covers so much. Phil's approach is direct and he has a good sense of humour. The sessions were never boring, but well structured and the notes for the next module were always available a few days before.

A year later I have a growing client base. I am considering devoting more time to this as I enjoy it so much and really only do it part time a few hours a week but I currently have around 11 clients at different stages of their family court process. I love the fact that you can pick and choose your clients, hours and work and it's great that Phil has a constant supply of people that need help. I was able to pay off my initial investment into the course and leads after 2 months of training, but again this could be done quicker if you were doing it full time as I have a busy shop I own and other commitments I need to work around. Phil is a very knowledgeable and experienced McKenzie Friend and it is evident in his training that he has had a lot of experience through the Family Court process. Phil's training is informative, personal and interactive, completed on a 1-2-1 basis. He provides pre-read material and talks through each training session, working through scenarios and discussing your thoughts and ideas. I have actively used tools, tips and resources that Phil has recommended during his sessions, and his knowledge and teaching have guided me in successfully helping those in the Family Court process.

I am now a full time McKenzie Friend and always have Phil to rely upon for his guidance and direction. I have not been left alone in my journey and know that I can turn to Phil or the network whenever needed. Phil provides access to material to support the role of a McKenzie Friend and is always available to offer his time to assist. The McKenzie Friend UK Network is recognised in all of the Family Courts that I have attended, and I am delighted to be a certified member. I praise Phil for creating the network and for his support and guidance throughout my training and beyond. I would recommend his training to anyone who may be considering becoming a McKenzie Friend. Contact Phil: McKenzie Friend Training

Session 1: Really enjoyed Session1. So interesting to learn the history and build up of how MF came to be. Definitely noted the analogies, I feel these will be really helpful in explaining to potential clients why a MF is better than a solicitor.

Session2: Very useful to understand how the DA Act of 2021 can impact on parents in family court. I found the information cycle excellent, really helpful to break down the sources of information. I can see how much this could help when trying to work through the info that a client shares.

Session3: Absolutely brilliant session. This was so thorough and i now feel so much more confident already about CAO's, even though we're only part way along the 'train track'!

Hi Phil,

I hope you’re well.

I thought you’d be pleased to hear that this month I will exceed what I used to earn when I worked full time. My goal now is to double it. Deborah Jones

We completed the McKenzie training, and it exceeded all our expectations. The course was incredibly informative, providing great insights into effective techniques and practices that are invaluable for both personal and professional development. Phil was knowledgeable and engaging, making complex concepts easy to understand. Additionally, the training was offered at a very affordable price, making it accessible without compromising on quality. I highly recommend this training to anyone looking to expand their skills and knowledge!

As a new business, we have been very busy since March, we are both enjoying this role and feel we have helped many people stay focused and on track with the family court process.  Karen and Lisa

Initially attracted to Phil's Youtube videos for their candid exposure of the Family Court system, I found his no-nonsense approach particularly refreshing. He cut through the legal jargon, presenting the information in a clear and straightforward manner that made complex issues easy to understand in a relatively short amount of time.

By applying the knowledge I gained through Phil's comprehensive training, along with my own first hand experience of going through the Family Court process, I have been able to deliver successful outcomes for numerous clients. This unique blend of formal training and personal insight has allowed me to understand the complexities of family law from multiple perspectives, enabling me to offer tailored support and guidance. As a result, I have built a strong track record of helping clients navigate difficult legal situations, leaving them feeling confident and satisfied with the outcomes. Dan Wilson

Phil simplified all topic’s demonstrating great examples from the start of the process to the end of the process. 11/10

The training has been an excellent complement to my personal experience with the Family Court system. Its modular structure allows me to revisit specific sections whenever needed, offering flexibility and continued learning. The course is thorough, covering all aspects of the Family Court in detail. I believe this training is invaluable for anyone aspiring to become a McKenzie Friend, providing the essential knowledge and insight required to effectively support individuals in legal proceedings.

Things have been progressing exceptionally well. I am now able to effectively support clients, drawing upon the extensive knowledge and resources that Phil has provided, as well as the collaborative network he has built. This network allows us to exchange ideas and work together when needed. Phil has truly created a fantastic system that fosters both learning and collaboration.

I recently completed the McKenzie Friend training course, and I cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone aspiring to become a McKenzie friend. The program, expertly facilitated by Phil, provides comprehensive insights into the core processes involved in supporting clients navigating the complexities of the family court system.

Phil's presentation style is both engaging and informative, utilising a variety of working examples that allow learners to grasp concepts intuitively. This approach encourages independent exploration and research, empowering trainees to develop a nuanced understanding of their role. The structure of the course is well thought out, providing a solid foundation and progressively building knowledge necessary for effective practice.

As I progressed through the training, I felt more equipped to assist clients in a meaningful way, which has proven invaluable as I begin to establish my portfolio. Upon completing the course, I found myself confident and ready to engage with clients, and I have not looked back since. The skills and insights I gained have not only enhanced my understanding but also my efficacy as a McKenzie friend. For anyone seeking to make a positive impact in this field, this training is an essential investment in their professional development. Tim Haynes
